Video: "Research and development of new (recovery) systems"
Content of video:
Extracts from the first DVD instalments of 2006 and 2007 featuring the RLS double strop - a revovery device already approved as personal protective equipment. Also featured: alternative life saving appliances "RLS Rescue Shuttle", which is in compliance with MSC.1/Circ. 1182. Its design is particulary suited for ships of small draugth, as floats keep the rescue shuttle level with the water line at all times and it is therefore never submerged by a wave. The video closes with the first water trials of the RLS Resuce Star appliance in its early stages of development (no automatic folding mechanism and with the centre guide bar not yet fitted).
