Reporting obligations

72 hour message for certain ships

Ships which are eligible for expanded inspections have to report the estimated time of arrival to the Port State Control Department.

This message may be inserted by the respective agent on the web page www.zmgs.de, a form is available on this page.

 

This message is required for all High Risk Ships

and/or

all passenger ships, tanks ships and bulk carriers more than 12 years old

 

The time span applicable is according to the respective ship risk profile.

So high risk ships have to report from the 5th month, standard risk ships from the 10th month and low risk ships from the 24th month from the last expanded inspection.

 

It is required to register to get access to the page. The procedure will be completed within one working day. You find further details on the page.

Alternatively, you may report by mail, details are provided in the Anlaufbedingungsverordnung.

Paris MoU web page (www.parismou.org shall be consulted to find out if the vessel is eligible for expanded inspection.

Please note the that message must be given to each port within Paris MoU until the vessel has been inspected.

 

24 hour message and actual time of arrival/departure (ETA, ATA, ATD)

24 hours ETA message

All ships have to report the estimated time of arrival and the estimated time of departure at least 24 hours before entering port to the Zentrale Meldestelle (www.zmgs.de).

 

ATA/ATD

All ships have to report the actual time of arrival and the actual time of departure as soon as possible to the Zentrale Meldestelle (www.zmgs.de).

The reporting obligation is with the vessel, responsibility is with the master/operator.

However, in general the message will be delegated to the agent, a mask is provided in the web page.

 

IMPORTANT

The above mentioned messages are only required in case the ship enters a port that is not connected to a port information system. Ports with such systems are published in "Verkehrsblatt".

At this stage messages are not required for following ports:

   Hamburg

   Bremen

   Bremerhaven

   Rostock/Warnemünde

   Wismar

   Wolgast

   Stralsund

   Greifswald

   Mukran

   Sassnitz

   Ueckermünde

 

Note: 72 hours message shall be given in any case.
