Cooperation with class societies
According to an special agreement it is allowed for the recognized class societies to carry out all required statutory surveys (initial, annual, periodical, intermediate and renewal surveys). It is also allowed to carry out the required annual endorsements in all International Ship Safety Certificates and to issue short term certificates on behalf of "Berufsgenossenschaft für Transport und Verkehrswirtschaft"/Ship Safety Division by their own surveyors. This agreement includes also plan approval and survey in connection with new buildings and conversions of SOLAS ships.
