Flag State requirements
German Flag State requirements of ship safety standards
While ships under German flag were in the past required to meet numerous additional safety requirements, today there are hardly any regulation above and beyond the international ship safety standards. Many of these safety requirements are already IMO recommendations that are intended to be binding for the German flag.
